The SMT is entirely funded by voluntary donations by private individuals and Charitable Trusts.
This invaluable support enables us to provide our membership and educational services as well as investing in research.
It also enables us to continue offering our services free of charge.

In general - if you are unsure of the legalities for your particular event check with your Local Authority who should be able to advise you.
