Elizabeth Brackenbury is Sarah's sister. Elizabeth and her husband live in an ancient house near Nottingham, Sarah lived there with them for the last fifteen months of her life. They are proud grandparents and keepers of a flock of Jacob sheep. |

Michael Evans was one of our marathon runners in 2002 raising over £10,000 for the Trust. He got involved after the death of his Mum, Catherine, from MSA in 2001. He is a Chartered Accountant and a director of a London based property consultancy. |

Valentine Fleming met Sarah in the early 1960's and was also in the group of eight friends who spent nearly a month trekking in Nepal in 1974 (he has been back to the Himalayas many times since that first trek). He had just retired from banking when in 1997 he was made aware by Sarah of the desperate need for a support group for sufferers of MSA. He was instrumental, with Sarah and the original Trustees, in the formation of the Sarah Matheson Trust. He is a keen gardener at his home in Kent and, with his wife is an enthusiastic follower of Kent's cricketers. |

Darcy Hare is Sarah's niece. She grew up in London, where she lived with Sarah for several years. Darcy ran the London marathon for the Trust in 2004. She currently works as a project officer for the Independent Police Complaints Commission. |

Alexander Loehnis is currently a director of a company providing corporate websites having previously worked as a chef and a City analyst. His mother Jenny was a founding Trustee of the SMT and Sarah Matheson was his godmother. |

Geoffrey Murray is a Chartered Surveyor. After many years working in social housing and latterly as Chief Executive of Kensington Housing Trust he is now a freelance property adviser working with a number of not-for profit organisations such as the British Red Cross. His eldest brother, John, died from MSA in December 2000. His other brother, Peter, a former SMT Trustee has raised substantial funds for SMT through solo cycle rides and his brainchild cycle2cannes. |

Eileen Lady Strathnaver OBE has lived in Notting Hill for over 30 years, during which time she has raised two daughters. For fifteen years until the summer of 2001 she worked, first as a P.A., then as a Special Adviser, to Michael Heseltine M.P. Eileen first met Sarah at Heathrow in the autumn of 1974 from where they were setting off for a magical adventure walking in Nepal, where sharing a tent and many laughs together they became friends. |

Lady Harriot Tennant is married with two grown up children, she lives in London and Aberdeenshire. In 2000 she retired after 12 years as a Special Assistant at the British Museum. She had previously worked at the National Portrait Gallery, Lambeth Palace Library, the Chelsea Physic Garden and the Royal College of Art - where she was succeeded by Sarah Matheson. Harriot is currently chairman of the Management Council of Chelsea Physic Garden, which has an extensive collection of medicinal plants. |
